Card Crafting Craze

Inspired by all of the wonderful card making blogger friends I've been making these past few weeks, I went card crazy and made eight different cards this weekend. I plan to reveal them all in my card craft e-zine. It should be out in the beginning of July. Can you wait that long?

I should have the summer at the seaside issue done now, but gosh, I just haven't been inspired to finish it. I'm too into making cards! What's happening to me? I'm being sucked in by another hobby!

Do you ever fight taking up a new hobby because:

a) you are crafting until 3am anyway and don't have any extra time?
b) have already maxed out your Michael's/Hobby Lobby/Hobby Craft credit card? or
c) are eating on the edge of your dining room table because the sewing machine and supplies have taken control?

Can't wait to see your cards...the photo hint looks great. I would have to answer (b). And luckily we don't have Hobby Lobby or Michaels here but it is the money factor that slows me down in crafts.

Hi Michele, how cool to finally find a local crafter. My only craft shop fun is going to Paperchase in Westfield. Most of my purchases are online (QVC, JS or even PaperWishes in the States). I caved in and joined Stampin Up so I can get the discount as I love their stuff so much. I just signed up to your ezine and I'd like to know if you found any other craft shop in central London, everything seems to be on the outskirts. Anyhoo Thank you for your lovely comment on my blog. Thank you so much for your lovely comments on my blog, I really do appreciate them, more so with the fact I'm purely self taught, I learned by watching craft shows, buying books and also by joining craft forums, I haven't really been blogging long, but have found it such a great way to gain hints and tips and it's also a great way to gain some inspiration too.

I have had a quick look at your e-zine,(will get a better read through them later on when I bring my son back from karate training) and those quilts are just stunning!!! oh how i wish i could sew! Can do a few basics but that's about it I'm afraid!

Sadly my crafting will need to be put on hold for a while as I'm redecorating my craftroom/bedroom, so everything is packed away in cardboard box oblivion!!

Take care

Hi Michele.
Bijoux Blends are great fun to use :-) They are little pieces of crushed glass, marble and quartz which resemble little gems. I love using them on various surfaces to give the effect of treasure. You can just sprinkle them into glue or paint (they go with all the byzantia colours) or they look really good sprinkled in puff paint before its heated. Have you used Stewart Gill paints? We love them. I've just bought some to take home and play with....can't wait.
